How to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ in this world is what New Horizons is all about. Please check out our website at www.newhorizonsofswfl.org We provide educational opportuinities for at-risk children in Southwest Florida. We are able to provide humanitarian aid to our Caribbean neighbors with our 68-foot cargo schooner, "Star of the Sea." The schooner is also used as a teaching tool for the "Call to Adventure" program that mentors young men at sea.

Great Inagua-Naples

We had a great weather window to sail home. Adam caught a nice mahi just offshore of Marathon after leaving the Cay Sal Bank to starboard that morning. An uneventful passage was unfolding from the keys to naples when we lost Casey off the bowsprit chain and we were able practice our man overboard procedures!

"Star of the Sea" really performed well on this voyage, with minimal repairs she will be ready to head south again in Nov. Thanks again to all those who made this voyage possible especially those who have been praying for our health and safety! We are offering sponsorships for the children at the orphanage in Old Bight. All money collected will be used to buy food for the children's home. "Star of the Sea" will be taking another load to Old Bight in Nov. and we will be working with G&G shipping to send food items every couple months, please contact me to donate or if you would like additional information.
